Snoot - Digital Product Realisation

Project Description

Snoot is a 3D product concept and digital interface system designed to support dogs as they age — particularly those experiencing blindness, deafness, anxiety, or disability. The ecosystem combines a smart collar, an owner’s bracelet, and an aroma diffuser, all working together to improve a dog’s comfort, safety, and emotional wellbeing.

Challenge

Up to 75% of dogs experience vision or hearing loss as they age, and most owners are unprepared for the behavioral and emotional changes that follow. Traditional pet products don’t address the sensory needs of disabled or aging dogs, leaving owners without tools to support them and dogs without meaningful ways to navigate their world.

Approach

As part of a digital product brief, I designed an ecosystem of three connected devices supported by a custom interface. My aim was to create a solution that prioritizes emotional intelligence, accessibility, and ease of use — making life more manageable for both dogs and owners.

The design process included research into canine behavior, sensory cues, disability support devices, and human–animal interaction. I then developed an integrated system that brings owners closer to their pets’ needs while maintaining a minimal, intuitive digital experience.

Solution

Snoot presents an accessible, tech-forward solution for owners who want to meaningfully support their pets — especially aging, anxious, blind, or deaf dogs. The concept demonstrates how empathy-led design, sensory understanding, and thoughtful digital systems can improve quality of life for animals and deepen the bond between dogs and their humans.
